The legal duty of the defence counsel (Article 44(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure) is to provide the accused with the necessary legal assistance, to make effective use of the means and methods of defence set out in the law to defend his interests, and in particular to ensure that the facts which exonerate or mitigate the guilt of the accused are duly and timely clarified in the proceedings.
Whether clients choose us or the court appoints us, we approach every case with the same responsible and unprejudiced manner. We represent, suspects, accused, defendants and convicted persons prosecuted not only for minor offences but also for particularly serious crimes within the jurisdiction of the Specialised Criminal Court.
